Pack Up Your Troubles
Project Description

The Client

Pack up Your Troubles Festival, was organised by the community and led by The Devil's Porridge Museum and Dumfries & Galloway Councils Major Festivals and Events Strategy. A "one-off, feel good" community celebration took place in Gretna and Eastriggs. It celebrated the centenary of the twin townships, which were built to support the huge influx of workers to the HM Munitions Factory Gretna. With World War One themes and four-days of events including a festival concert, ceilidh, vintage rally, living history displays, guided walks, time traveller bus tours, World War One tearoom, wartime ration cooking challenge at The Devil's Porridge, and a Great War fashion event.

Brand and Logo design

We designed the logo based on the 1914 Star Medal.

Printed Programme of Events

The programme folded from A3 down to DL (one third portrait A4 - 99mm wide x 297mm height) and was printed on an uncoated paper. Taking delivery of the 18 boxes of finished print we couldn't have been any happier as, the uncoated paper was just perfect.

Newspaper, Adverts and Flyers

We designed and artworked a 4 page supplement to go in the Annandale Observer, this was created in the style of a 1915 newspaper. Adverts were designed for glossy magazines and local press along with flyers for individual everts.
