The Townhead Hotel
As a Hotel, Restaurant and Bar, the brief behind The Townhead was to give that ‘Inner City’ feel to the design, this meant clean, crisp and elegant. Reflected from their existing brand, a simple colour scheme of burgundy and light grey was used. Being honest and transparent about their menu was important to The Townhead Hotel – This is shown within the ‘Our Promise’, ‘Taste Our Best’ section and the inclusion of the allergen guide at the bottom of each page – this extra information allows their clients to see, clearly, any important information they may wish to know. This builds customer trust and strengthens a positive experience when visiting The Townhead hotel.
We worked with the Townhead team to create social media posts with details of upcoming events and offers using images from the restaurant, bar and hotel rooms to showcase the facilities. We then created content text to accompany the post images created which were sent to the client ready to be uploaded, scheduled and posted on Facebook.
Using the photographs and social media content, we also created a branded slideshow which would be displayed on the bars TV, this eye-catching slideshow would scroll through several images and typography slides created in the Townhead branded style. The perfect way to further project the social media campaign into the bar and restaurant.
The Jolly Harvester
As with the Townhead Hotel, the Jolly Harvester was in need of social media posts to be created to advertise events/deals. This began as a teaser of the new menu and then led onto weekly updates for Sunday Carveries and one–off events mostly based around family activities. Using elements running throughout the menu, Hoggett Creative tied in the social posts and Menus together, rounding off the whole launch. Hoggett Creative also discussed with the Jolly Harvester, what sort of images should be shared and a brief explanation of how to use Social media effectively.
Staying true to tradition and keeping that classic pub feel was important to The Jolly Harvester, they wanted this to be represented within their menus. Using the dark navy blue and light grey, Hoggett Creative managed to produce a clean and friendly feel to the menu design. Creating this menu without images of the food brought a challenge to make the food descriptions as appealing as possible, making the pricing legible and also making the menu look inviting and leading the customers eye from one page to the next.
The Crown Hotel
The Crown wanted something more fun and light, we decided to go with a watercolour based design, with strong visuals of food and cutlery. This menu was designed to be slightly larger than A4, making it easy to hold in one hand but also aesthetically pleasing for all ages. Introducing the illustrations was an effective way of bringing some personality into the menu, as The Crown was previously held with not very high standards, it was all about changing that brand image to something more positive.
The Watercolour effect and Illustrations are mirrored in the social media posts, creating a visual copy of the menu design, further concreting the new brand to the customers.
